Nature calls: AMCES in action

Anthony and Mark Cavanis Elementary School opened the new school year with a month long celebration of Environmental Awareness.
Pupils from grade 1 to grade 6 showed their love for Mother Earth by planting vegetables and flowers.

It was such a delight as the pupils of Grade 1, 2, and 3 placed their own vegetable plants on their assigned post while the pupils of grade 4, 5 and 6 were assigned to cultivate their flower pots.
Students were also entertained and informed with the film “THE LORAX” on how important the plants are and why we should take care of them.
The care for the environment that have been planted in the children’s heart through this event will surely grow as it will be watered with guidance and awareness throughout the whole school year.
